Classic outdoor living, contemporary convenience
Stacey and Aiden, homeowners in the vibrant Great Park development in the north of Newcastle, envisioned transforming their garden into a versatile extension of their living space. They desired a custom-built summer house to serve as a relaxing chill-out zone and entertainment hub, complete with an electrical supply for modern amenities. Their project also included the installation of an EV charge point to future-proof their home and the creation of a new outdoor deck featuring a dedicated BBQ area, all designed to elevate their lifestyle and the property’s appeal.
Collaborative design, built to last
The project began with detailed consultations with Stacey and Aiden to fully understand their vision for the ideal outdoor retreat. Appreciating the limitations and potential compromises of pre-fabricated units, the team advised on a bespoke summer house design tailored precisely to their specifications, incorporating features like bi-fold doors, a media wall, and space for a pool table. To ensure clarity and alignment, detailed drawings were provided, allowing Stacey and Aiden to visualise the final outcome and understand the scope of the works involved.
The team also proactively addressed logistical considerations, consulting with neighbours regarding access to mitigate any potential disruptions during the build. Our team planned and executed upgrades to the electrical infrastructure, providing a safe and sufficient power supply for the summer house’s demands. This involved installing a separate fuse board for independence, and even incorporating outdoor feature lighting to enhance the ambience.
We are really happy with the quality of work carried out and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. The lads were punctual every day, kept us informed of exactly what they was doing, and it is refreshing to see that they obviously takes pride in the work they do. Great guys and very professional, five stars!
